Devlog #0 — A New Beginning
by
I've spent quite some time experimenting with different prototypes — small systems, combat loops, weird ideas that felt promising for a while, but never quite clicked.
Then came this one. Even in its earliest state — just placeholder sprites and test rooms — it’s been genuinely fun to play. There’s tension and risk. That’s when I knew: this might be the foundation of something worth building.
The project doesn’t have an official title yet, but it’s shaping up to be a roguelike battler set on the mysterious Heartsea, a place where the rules of nature and reason are starting to unravel. Beneath the waves, something is stirring.
Right now, it’s just the basics: core combat and a lot of everything as placeholders. But the feel is there. The loop works. And that’s enough to push forward.
I'll be sharing my progress here as the game evolves — the small wins and losses along the way. It’s early days, but every project has to start somewhere.
Thanks for being here at the start.
